| 内容記述 | ひとの営みの中でも,最も人間的な,「人を大切にする」行動として,看護活動,福祉活動は存在する。それらは現在,近代的社会の有用な役割を担う専門職業として自立している。しかし,その発生にさかのぼってみれば,極めて素朴な人を愛する人間行動として始まったに違いない。その根源から脈々として伝わる人間尊重の系譜をたどり,看護,福祉の原点を考えたい。近代看護活動が日本に導入された19世紀,明治期にさかのぼり,老人ホームの設立,運営をした看護婦,寺島信恵の足跡に見られる人間尊重の活動を掘り起こした。また,20世紀の看護婦活動の中から,難病や知的障害者等に対する特色のある開拓的活動の展開をした河野和子,小原安喜子,矢野正子,川村佐和子らの活動を取り上げ,その中に見られる人間尊重の実践を重ね,2世紀にわたる看護職の根源的な基本姿勢を検討した。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Even in our work, nursing and welfare activities exist as the most human act of holding people in high regard. At present, these activities stand out as professions that assume responsibility for a useful role in modern society. However, if we look to the roots of this development, it is clear that this began as a simple act of love for others. The origins of nursing and welfare by tracing the lineage of this respect for people that has come down to us from this beginning will be discussed. Looking back to when modern nursing was introduced to Japan in the 19th century during the Meiji Era, the establishment of homes for the aged, the management of nurses, and activities showing respect for people as can be seen in the legacy of Nobue Terashima are investigated. Also, considering the respect for people put into practice in the 20th century nursing developments pioneered by Kazuko kono, Akiko Ohara, Masako Yano, Sawako Kawamura and others of distinguished ground-breaking activities for the care of those with intractable or incurable diseases and mental retardation, this basic position at the root of two centuries of nursing will be investigated. | |||||
