The courts judge the possibility of whether physicians and nurses can foresee patient suicide from the standpoint of legal responsibility. Medical practitioners are required to take stringent measures to prevent suicide in the event that the court decides that there is a danger of such. However, physicians and nurses judge patient feelings and behavior for the purpose of providing treatment or nursing, and there are variations in the judgments of different people.
