In the belief that the lifestyle of nursing students has an effect on their ability to learn nursing art, a study was conducted on their habits in their daily lives. The subjects were 84 firstyear nursing students who were enrolled at X university but had not attended or undergone training in nursing art. A questionnaire on their personal lifestyle was distributed. The results indicated that more than 90% gave sound, affirmative responses to questions on such items as toothbrushing and handwashing in the bathroom. On the other hand, more than 60% responded by stating that they rarely or never engage in any of the daily practices, such as bed-making or putting away bedding after rising or picking up dirt on the floor.
