According to the results, approximately half the registered nurses thought that patients were not greatly concerned about oral hygiene and did not sufficiently understand the need for it; and recognized that the practice of oral hygiene activities was also insufficient. 60 per cent of registered nurses recognized that they did not talk much about oral hygiene with patients. There were also many responses to the effect that doctors, dental hygienists and registered nurses should provide guidance in oral hygiene. From the above, it is clear that there is an awareness that oral hygiene is not sufficiently maintained, and suggestions were obtained about making efforts to arrange to discuss oral hygiene with patients and the need to get to grips with oral hygiene activities in cooperation with other members of staff., 精神疾患患者の口腔内の清潔について看護師の認識を明らかにすることを目的に、病棟に勤務し患者を受け持っている看護師243人を対象に、自記式質問紙による調査を行い、190人より有効な回答を得た。その結果、約半数の看護師が、口腔内の清潔について、患者の関心は高いとは言えず、必要性の理解も十分なされていないと考え、口腔内の清潔行為も十分には実施されていないと認識していた。口腔の清潔について、患者とはあまり話をしていないとした看護師は6割であった。また「医師・歯科衛生士・看護師」が口腔の清潔行為の指導を行うべきとした回答が多かった。以上より、口腔の清潔が十分に保たれていないことを認識し、口腔の清潔について患者と話し合いができるように心がけること、他のスタッフと協力し合いながら口腔の清潔行為に取り組む重要性が示唆された。}, pages = {77--86}, title = {精神疾患患者の口腔内の清潔・清潔行為(第一報) : 看護師の認識}, volume = {8}, year = {2008} }
