| 内容記述 | The effects of the repeated washings on the fine structure of Nylon-6 fibers were investigated to elucidate the mechanism of the fatigue of Nylon-6 fibers which had been reported previously. The following results were obtained. 1) The fact that N-end group of Nylon-6 fibers increased progressively by repeated washings can be considered as the results of cutting of the molecular chains by the repeated washings. 2) From the results of X-ray diffraction diagram of Nylon-6 fibers which show the change in the orientation of the crystalline region, it was suggested that partial disorientation of Nylon-6 fibers was caused by the repeated washings. 3) The fact that the variation of birefringence was also observed may further support the above results. 4) It can be concluded that the decrease of initial modulus of Nylon-6 fibers caused by repeated washings is the results of the cutting of molecular chains and the partial disorientation of crystalline region. | |||||
