The purpose of this study is to reveal the requirements for effective learning activities and teaching methods in workplace experience activities conducted during the “period for integrated study”, as well as practical problems in their implementation, through questionnaire survey for junior high school teachers. After the research and analysis, following points were revealed as requirements. The first is to let students cooperatively set the challenges they pursue in advance guidance, while conducting exercises to increase their feelings of self-efficacy and self-esteem. The second is to present new challenges or to enhance the assessment in follow-up guidance. There are issues such as developing teaching methods to review the experience, preparing an environment to ensure smooth implementation of the experience, or improving programs to enable full assessment.
