| 内容記述 | 本研究は「介護老人福祉施設におけるターミナルケア」を考えるために、直接処遇職員1002名(介護職員858名)を対象に、そのターミナルケア意識や職場状況、介護技術などを調査し、ターミナルケア意識に関連する要因を分析したものである。 施設での、ターミナルケア続行に肯定的な意見は80%近くあった。一方、病院への転送が当然という考えは15%であった。こうしたターミナルケアの考えには、「死の看取りの経験」と、「職場のカンファレンスの有無」の因子が関連していることがわかった。技術面では、「食事の工夫」「安楽な呼吸のためのマッサージ」など、より高度な介護技術と、「アセスメント力」の不足が推察された。介護老人福祉施設におけるターミナルケアを考えるとき、ターミナルケアを「医療ケア」ととらえるのではなく、老年者の死は自然のことであり生きる延長上にひろがるものである、という「生活モデル」からの死の看取りの視点が、これから重要となってくる。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This research investigates and analyzes the consciousness, an idea, technology, etc. The number of 1,002 institutional staffs (included 838 care staffs) were investigated about the consciousness of terminal care, a place-of-work situation, care skill and so on. About 80% of staffs agreed to continue to care for the aged person in the nursing home at the terminal period. On the other hand, 15% of staffs think that they should be sent to a hospital. We found that those differences depend on experience to treat patients' death and existence of meeting for terminal care at a work place. It is predicted that lack of advanced care skill (for example, care contents during a meal, the massage for comfortable breath) and lack of assessment power makes difference. It ia important to think that death of the aged person is natural from the point of life model view in a nursing home. It should not be considered terminal care only as medical care in a nursing home. | |||||
