| 内容記述 | ナース・プラクティショナー（NP）は登録看護婦の役割を発展させる形で1960年代半ばに誕生した。現在彼らは従来医師の行ってきた診断, 処方を行うことが可能なプライマリ・ケア提供者である。しかし, 医師との確執や法律上の制限があり, 予定した活動が行われるためには期間を要してきた。本稿では, 1985年に連邦議会技術評価局によって行われた「ナース・プラクティショナー, 医師アシスタント, 助産看護婦 : 政策分析」というケース・スタディを通じ, NPの評価された役割について検討した。その中でNPのケアの質は医師と同等であり, 特に患者とのコミュニケーション, 継続的な患者の管理は医師よりも優れていると評価された。また, 過疎地住民, ナーシング・ホーム在院者, 貧困者など医療を受ける機会に恵まれない人々にNPは有効であるとされた。このケース・スタディは, NPが当時のアメリカの医療に不足していた部分を埋める形で展開してきたことを明らかにした点で重要であるといえる。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Nurse Practitioner （NP） was born in the middle of 1960's having developed Registered Nurse's role. At the present time, they are providers of primary care who can diagnose and prescribe as physicians do so far. However, there were discord between and restrictions concerned laws, it spent long times to enable them to act what intended to do. This study investigates the estimated roles of NP concerning the case study of Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants and Nurse-Midwives : A Policy Analysis by U.S. Congress, Office of Technology Assessment （OTA） in 1985. The OTA estimated that the quality of NP's care is equal with that of physician's. And it is superior to that of physician's in point of effective communication with patients and long term and continuous care managements for patients. Moreover, the cares of NP are effective for under privileged people living in rural areas, nursing home residents and the poor people. This case study is important in that it made it clear that NP's role developed making up for the lack of medical treatment of U.S. | |||||
