| 内容記述 | 精神科単科の病院では、入院患者の高齢化と身体合併症の治療の課題をかかえている。今回、新潟県内の精神科病院を対象に身体合併症医療についてのアンケート調査を行った結果、個室設備や呼吸・循環器管理等の設備がない病院があった。しかし、88%の病院には内科系専門医師がいて、診察できる状況があった。2ヶ月の間に他科専門医の診察を必要とした患者は、1030人で循環器系、内分泌系疾患が多く、その内56%の患者は院内の専門医が治療し、院外専門医の受診は19%、3.3%は院外専門医の往診があり、同数の患者が専門病院へ転院していた。院外受診時の付き添い状況は、病院職員が、救急車で、付き添う場合が多く、人数は4人以上、8時間以上を要する場合もあった。調査の結果から精神障害者の重症身体合併症治療は、精神科を有する総合病院で専門的な治療が望まれるとの提言に至った。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Most mental hospitals with only psychiatric departments can't deal with the problems related to the aging of patients or physical complications. We conducted a survey to find out more about the treatment of physical complications at mental hospitals in Niigata.As a result, we found that some don't have private rooms and other facilities for respiration/circulatory organ management. These environmental factors could cause problems in treating physical complications. However, 88% of mental hospitals have specialists in internal medicine, and can provide treatment for these patients. 1,030 patients at mental hospitals in Niigata needed treatment by other kinds of specialists for two months, mostly because of circulatory and endocrine related diseases. 56% of them were treated by their hospitals' specialists, 19% by specialists at other hospitals, and 3.3% by doctors who visited from other hospitals. Another 3.3% were transferred to special hospitals. Usually the patient went by ambulance and more than 4 mental hospital staff were needed to assist. Sometimes 8 hours were required to complete all procedures. Based on the results of our survey, we have concluded that patients who suffer from serious physical complication should be treated at general hospitals which have psychiatric departments. | |||||
