| 内容記述 | ひとの死後、身体をきれいに整えることは医療施設では主に看護職が行い、一般的に「死後の処置（ケア）」と称されている。本研究では、看護職の看取りに意識をあて、従来のように量的調査だけでは明らかにできない死後のケアを支える要因について、看護職の自由な語りから見取りの質を高める死後のケアについて検討した。その結果、医療施設における死後のケアには、時間が影響を及ぼしていた。また、亡くなった患者の身体に対しては「遺体」というよりも生前と同様に捉える傾向が強く、生前のかかわりの深さによって看護職の思いや死後のケアの意識に差が見られた。死後のケアを支えていたのは、その人に対する看護師たちのケアの真摯な態度であり、常に人のいのちをどう看取っていくかという意識であった。さらに、看取りの過程を通して、エビデンスに基づいた技術の検討や個々の看護観や死生観を育んでいくためには、どのように教授させていくのかが課題になると示唆された。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | At medical institutions, nurses are usually in charge of cleansing the body of the deceased, which is generally referred to as postmortem care. In this study, we examined important factors in postmortem care, particularly in attending to the death of patients, which had been difficult with conventional quantitative research alone. Spontaneous discussions with nurses were used to seek enhanced performance in postmortem care including institutions. With regard to handling the body of the deceased, a majority of nurses had a tendency to treat the task in the same way as the care given patients before death rather than as a lifeless body. Their feelings and attitudes toward the postmortem care differed depending on their degree of commitment to the patient before death. Important factors in postmortem care included a sincere caregiving attitude by nurses towards the patient and the provided for nurses so that they would enhance their views on nursing as well as death and life through evidence-based study of techniques and experiences attending to dying patients. | |||||
