| 内容記述 | 本研究で、精神病院（精神科病棟）における患者の自殺に関連した裁判例を通して、裁判所は自殺（未遂を含め）患者の考え・行動をどのように判断し、看護師・医師はどのように理解・判断したのか考察した。裁判所は、法的責任という視点から医師・看護師の自殺の予見可能性を判断する。そして裁判所が自殺の危険性を予見しえたと判断したとき、医師・看護師には厳しい自殺防止のための行動を求められる。しかし、医師・看護師は医療という視点で患者の思い・行動を判断し治療・看護を決め・進めるが、そこに判断の差異が生ずる場合がある。本研究を通して、医師・看護師としての自殺患者に対する見方を考えさせられ、患者の状態を的確に評価・判断する態度を身につけていくことの重要性があらためて示唆された。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This study analyzes the understanding and judgment of physicians and nurses in cases of patient suicide through investigation of court verdicts involving patient suicide and attempted suicide in psychiatric hospitals and wards and corresponding court decisions regarding the feelings and behavior of patients. The courts judge the possibility of whether physicians and nurses can foresee patient suicide from the standpoint of legal responsibility. Medical practitioners are required to take stringent measures to prevent suicide in the event that the court decides that there is a danger of such. However, physicians and nurses judge patient feelings and behavior for the purpose of providing treatment or nursing, and there are variations in the judgments of different people. The study provided food for thought regarding the view of physicians and nurses toward patient suicide and reaffirmed the importance of accurately evaluating and judging patient condition. | |||||
